The Institute of International Cooperation of German Adult Education Association (DVV-International) hosted all the trainers/facilitators and representatives from their local partners for AEPOR program to attend its focus event "The Reality and the Challenged of Attracting Youth to Adult Education Programs".
This event came as effort to overcome the challenges that CBOs and especially trainers/facilitators were facing to recruit youth to participate in adult education programs.
This workshop took four main topics to overcome the Adult Education program's challenges. First, familiarizing the participants with the realities and challenges of the programs and projects of Adult Education. Second, identifying the challenges and obstacles for the CSOs of attracting donors for the continuity of the Adult Education program. Moreover, promoting the concept of youth initiatives and volunteer work and its role in the social changes. Finally, providing an opportunity for networking and exchange experiences among participants and associations working in the field of Adult Education.
