Reviewing and Evaluating the Achievements and Challenges of Adult Education for Community Development and Empowerment Project 2025 with Partners

Aqaba - The Institute for International Cooperation of the German Adult Education Association (DVV International) in Jordan held a workshop entitled “Review and Evaluation of the Adult Education for Community Development and Empowerment Project 2025” in the city of Aqaba, from November 10 to 13, with their seven partners comprising of Community-Based Organisations (CBOs) and governmental Community Development Centres (CDCs)28 facilitators, liaison officers, and directors of CBOs and CDCs involved in the project participated in the workshop.

The three-day workshop aimed to enhance the efficacy of the project implementation and to foster the cooperation between DVV International and its partners by evaluating their experience made in 2025. It addressed three main areas, including: assessing institutional capacities in particular with regard to adult education, conducting comprehensive reviews of project activities according to the project indicators, and exchanging experiences and best practices, as well as discussing the joint work plan for 2026.

This workshop is part of the institutional capacity-building plan for the years 2024–2026, implemented by the German Adult Education Association in cooperation with three local associations and three community development centers affiliated with the Ministry of Social Development.
