From 30.09.2026 to 03.10.2026, DVV International’s partner associations and community development centers came together for a workshop to finalize a simplified KPI measurement tool and connect it with their sustainability endeavors in the field of adult learning and education.
On the first day, participants addressed the importance of key performance indicators and the benefits for the entire institution. Furthermore, the performance tracking methodology, the institutional assessment journey, and areas of application were discussed. On the second day, the tool was applied to measure performance indicators in the field of adult learning and education in each institution.
The third day was dedicated entirely to the topic of sustainability in adult education, where participants learned about the social, economic, and institutional dimensions of sustainability, and how to link the nine assessment domains of the KPI measurement tool with sustainability. Furthermore, opportunities and challenges of the sustainability dimensions in the field of adult learning and education for development and empowerment were discussed .
Participants of the workshop emphasized that sustainability in adult education ensures the continuity of quality education for adults. Participants expressed their appreciation for the workshop content, affirming the importance of an easy-to-use institutional assessment tool.
