As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the capacities of its partner organizations in community development and empowerment, enhance their human resources, and improve their institutional competitiveness, DVV International has invested in the professionalization of adult education trainers of the partner communities. 23 participants from partner organizations and members of the Community of Practice went through DVV International’s capacity development measures as well as a thorough training program that provided them with an internationally recognized trainer certificate.
The training program is accredited by the UK-based Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). It was implemented by Kafaa International for Development and Training from 15 to 28 August 2026. By providing the training program to the participants, DVV international aims to establish a core group of qualified trainers within partner organizations, strengthening their internal capacity to design and deliver training programs, enhance their educational and community-based practices, and reduce their reliance on external training expertise.
On 8th of October 2026, DVV International held a graduation ceremony for the participants, rewarding them for their tireless efforts in improving their facilitation and training practice.
This initiative reflects DVV International’s commitment to investing in sustainable institutional capacity development and enabling its partners to take a more active role in leading learning processes, community development, and empowerment initiatives.
